Administration

Ana M. Fernandez is the Principal at Villareal Elementary and has been part of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2015. Her career in public education began in 2013. She has been a special education teacher, dean of instruction, and assistant principal. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies Degree from the University of Texas at Brownsville in 2012 and a Master's Degree in Special Education from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2016.

Emily Galvan serves the students of Villareal Elementary as the Instructional Officer for the 2025–2026 school year. She has been a proud member of the Los Fresnos CISD family since 2018. Mrs. Galvan began her career in public education in 2012 and has served as both an elementary and middle school teacher. Prior to her current role, she worked as an Instructional Coach at Laureles Elementary beginning in 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree from the University of Texas at Brownsville and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Educational Technology Leadership from Concordia University. 
 
Mrs. Galvan is driven by a deep calling to make a difference in education. She is committed to creating a learning environment where every student feels loved, valued, and supported. She believes that strong relationships and a nurturing atmosphere are the foundation for academic growth. She is dedicated to empowering all students and educators, fostering a culture of care, inclusivity, and high expectations for every learner.
